Concert for Kids! Klezmer for Kids
Come experience a delightful performance of lively Klezmer music featuring faculty member Glenn Dickson and the Shirim Ensemble. Klezmer is the vibrant and soulful music of the Jews of Eastern Europe and evokes the many emotions of life. Kids are encouraged to clap, sing, and even dance a kozatske! The Shirim Ensemble has performed for thousands of Massachusetts school children, and has released award winning CDs with Maurice Sendak (Pincus & the Pig) and NPR's Ellen Kushner (Search for the Golden Dreydl).
Appropriate for ages 4 and up. $5 general admission. For more information, call 781-721-2950. Advance purchase is recommended - tickets are often sold out by the day of the show. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Winchester.
