Code Seminar The Architectural Issues of New Energy Codes 2020- Part 2

*Please note that you can register for only one OR both sessions.

This seminar breaks the codes into components. In Part II: Other components such as lighting, the controls, the HVAC unit (especially in the residential units), the water heater, and similar affected issues will be discussed. An overview will highlight aspects of final inspections where design/installation components are hidden and only visible to the inspector due to training or mere repetition of such errors by the contractors.

Learning Objectives:
Attendees will learn how the energy codes impact their HVAC/Mechanical design in their residential projects.

Attendees will learn the importance of lighting control design and energy code changes in their commercial and residential projects.

Attendees will learn what inspectors look for when reviewing construction projects and how they mitigate those issues in their designs.

Attendees will learn about common repetitious construction errors by the contractor that they can mitigate through pre-construction meetings on their
projects.

Dr. Nour is a frequent lecturer at USC School of Architecture ARE sessions as well as ADA. He was the founder of the Absolute Consulting Engineers in Newport Beach 29 years ago.
