Piano Recital
Come to Bellingham's Lairmont Manor on February 11, 2020 at 7PM to hear keyboard variations by Bach and Brahms
About the performer: Born in the rural Pacific Northwest, Jeremy DesChane made his orchestra debut with the Whatcom Symphony when he was seventeen. In the same year he was a national finalist in the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers Morton Gould Competition. He took private piano lessons with Jeffrey Gilliam at Western Washington University and went on to study piano at Eastman with Rebecca Penneys. He also attended the Chautauqua Institute and studied with John Pickett at Central Washington University. He has given solo and chamber performances in the Seattle area including performances with Philharmonia Northwest and Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra. He was a 2007 Eastman concerto competition finalist, a national prizewinner in the 2012 MTNA Chamber Music Competition in New York City, and a winner of the WSMTA Steinway and Sons Young Artist Competition in 2005 and 2011. He has worked as a university staff accompanist, choral director and accompanist, organist, adjudicator, and teacher.
