Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989)
Best friends Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reeves) are in danger of flunking history most heinously. If they dont ace their final history presentation they wont graduate from high school and their rock band, Wyld Stallions, will be no more. This would be bogus and uncool!
Bill and Ted get some unexpected help from a time traveler named Rufus (George Carlin). It seems that in Rufuss time, Bill and Teds music is the foundation of a perfect society. If Wyld Stallyns is disbanded, Rufuss world will no longer exist. So he shows up with a time-traveling telephone booth. The dudes use it to travel through time, retrieve historical characters, and hopefully ace their history exam. Whoa, gnarly!
But finding historical characters and getting them to the high school are two different things. Will Bill and Ted and company make it to the high school in time to save humanity?
