The End of the Valley is not the End of the World offers a contemplative look at how the seasons shape life and landscape in tiny, cheese-producing villages at the end of the Swiss Rovana valley. Thirty years ago there were a thousand inhabitants. Today there are about fifty. The villagers ponder self-sufficiency and purpose as they work, surrounded by breathtaking mountains. Recently, there has been a certain revival of interest in the area.
