Martha Graham Cracker: A Benefit for the Women's Medical Fund
My good friend and Philly artist Jenny Laden asked me if I would perform a benefit show for the Women's Medical Fund, and I immediately said yes.
In case you don't know about this very important charitable organization, I'll let their mission statement speak for them: "Womens Medical Fund (WMF) protects and expands abortion access for low-income people through direct service and community organizing."
100% of proceeds from the performance will go directly to the WMF. The event is sponsored by Buck and Cintra Rodgers, Lee Laden and Caroline Simon
This is a private show inside the Cosmopolitan Club in Philadelphia. It is a very intimate and exclusive parlor performance for a small group of generous donors. I'll be joined by guitar and piano.
The show is open to all ages, but be aware that there will be some mature content. Consider it rated PG-13. Light refreshments will be served.
While you're at the Cosmopolitan Club for the performance, you'll be able to enjoy Jenny's art exhibit "Performing", which includes water color paintings of yours truly, Miss Martha Graham Cracker.
