Albero's music describes her journey as a human being. It is a personal one but also filled by universal experiences such as joy, sorrow, celebration, love and all the things that connect us to each other. Born in the Mediterranean Sea and raised around the world touring with her musical family, Albero blends early music melodies with flamenco rhythms, Cuban tumbao with jazz harmonies and classical improvisation in a natural way that flows through her fingers. In this occasion she invited the great flute player from the Bay Area, Rebecca Kleinmann who has a broad experience on jazz and Brazilian music. Together, they'll take you on a ride around the world creating both rich and subtle soundscapes to tell their stories.
Marina Albero
Albero burst onto the Seattle jazz scene in 2016 and since that time she has energized the scene with her quartet, and in duo and solo piano performance. Her style reflects her musical journey that began with touring the world at age 12 with her musical family, to her teen years spent studying in Cuba, to her association with flamenco forms in Spain. The listener can hear a world of music in her playing, from jazz, to classical, to flamenco, and undeniably, the afro cuban rhythms that are so foundational in jazz music. Her music and playing has been recognized by the musical community and she has been awarded by Earshot Jazz as emerging artist of the year 2018. Her latest project A life soundtrack will be self released in October 2019.

Rebecca Kleinmann
Rebecca Kleinmann is an acclaimed flutist, singer, and composer with a twenty year professional career marked by diversity and improvisation. An explorer at heart, she rockets and flows between genres from Brazilian Choro to Flamenco and Jazz. Growing up in Charlotte, North Carolina, Rebecca began improvising on flute in a Gospel Church while also playing in the citys Youth Symphony. In 2000, she won the National Flute Associations Jazz competition with the performance of an original composition. She studied with David Baker at the acclaimed Indiana University School of Music where she graduated with degrees in Jazz and Spanish then traveled extensively to immerse herself in the cultures of Flamenco, Tango and Brazilian Music. Rebecca produced her first album Raio de Sol in 2005 including performances by Grammy artists Airto Moreira and Jovino Santos Neto. She recently released a new recording "Intuição Verdadeira" featuring music written for her by living Brazilian composers Hermeto Pascoal. In addition to being a performing and recording artist, Rebecca is a dedicated music teacher currently directing choirs with Cantare con Vivo.
