Lorna's Swingset

The Swingset Players:

Lorna Floyd, vocals, woodwinds. A music teacher for a kinder through 5th grade charter school in Fort Collins, Lorna loves that music is her entire day every day. She studied at Berklee College of Music, and a few other schools along the way...

Chris Emmerich, lead guitar. Chris has lived in Colorado since 1982 and been playing guitar for slightly longer. In addition to playing jazz, he likes/plays Brazilian music and bluegrass (the music, not the water-wasting plant).

James Nicholls James grew up hearing the sounds of jazz records being played by the man living across the street. James did not realize how much of an influence this would be on his life (but is now very thankful for those memories). He would get up early so that he could practice before going to school. Many nights he fell asleep playing the guitar. He re-discovered jazz at the age of 16, and quickly immersed himself in this style of music. At 19, he went to school to learn how to build and repair stringed instruments. He began composing his own material in his early 20s while living in New Orleans. He considers himself a lifelong student of the guitar and music in all its forms.
