Magic, comedy and mentalism will fill the bill at the next Parlor of Mystery on August 25. Magician and mentalist, James (Amore) Lazzarini and Spanish card magician Jordi Magomero will join emcee and Parlor of Mystery co-founder TJ Tana for a magical journey to the impossible.
James Lazzarini (Amore) has over 20 years of professional experience. He has performed in China, Bermuda, Canada, Puerto Rico, and across the United States and worked for some of America's largest companies including Deloitte & Touche, UPS, Burger King, Phillip Morris, WABC-TV, and Nabisco to name just a few. He has also performed for celebrities including Harry Blackstone Jr., Muhammad Ali, Jay Black & The Americans, Mookie Wilson, Boomer Esiason, The New York Islanders, Johnny Maestro & The Brooklyn Bridge, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Mayor Giuliani and The Royal Family of Brunei.
The roots of Jordi Magomero's magic are in Barcelona, Spain. His magic reflects the traditional Spanish style, which he describes as a "journey" with the spectators. Jordi creates intimate miracles with cards, coins, and balls, many of which are woven into stories. Magomero was awarded 2nd Prize in Close-up at Cabra-Cadabra in 2010 and 1st Prize in Close-up at Decklords in 2007.
TJ Tana, one of the founders of the Parlor of Mystery will host the show. TJ recently finished a tour with the widely popular "Masters of Illusion" show and has performed in notable venues such as Harrahs Casino in Atlantic City and the NYCB Theatre at Westbury. Get ready to see magic that only TJ can deliver.
The Parlor of Mysterys home is the South Shore Theatre Experience in Lindenhurst. Its the perfect place to experience parlor and close-up magic. It is a small black box theater with comfortable tiered seating for 40. The Parlor of Mystery is one of many productions that take place at the South Shore Theatre Experience, which is located at 115 South Wellwood Ave. in Lindenhurst. The South Shore Theatre Experience is a non- profit organization that produces original works and theater classics as well as conducting acting classes & workshops.
Parlor of Mystery shows usually take place on the fourth Sunday of every month with different magicians performing different effects.
