"The Plaster Cramp" plays a night of "Improbable Confetti" with Matthew Talmage, John Frazier and Mason Brown

This show is part of the Pangea Jazz Festival which runs from August 23 through August 31, 2019.

"Improbable Confetti" is the name of the weekly, hour-long, improvised and experimental live musical performance show on Radio Free Brooklyn hosted and performed by The Plaster Cramp. Improvisation is the foundation of the bands music and songs - as heard on their two full-length records, The Plaster Cramp and A History of Rome in Five Pages. The show for the Pangea Jazz Festival, and each weekly radio episode, is an opportunity for The Plaster Cramp to share their process of chasing after or digging into unexpected musical and sonic spaces.

From New York City, The Plaster Cramp formed in 2016, incorporating elements of krautrock, post-punk, and minimalist techno -- making use of electronic sounds, sampling, improvisation, and surrealist techniques like exquisite corpse and cut-up. Their self-titled debut record was released in October 2016. In April 2018, the band began broadcasting a weekly, hour-long, improvised and experimental live music performance show on Radio Free Brooklyn called Improbable Confetti. In December that same year they released their second record, A History of Rome in Five Pages.
