A Bellingham night of Authentic Cuban salsa with Orchestra Zarabanda straight from the belly of Seattle. Their classic, sultry melodies and irresistible rhythms are impossible to stand still to. From the moment Orchestra Zarabanda counts off, its a salsa dance party! Echoing the classic Cuban conjunto format, Orchestra Zarabanda plays deep-grooving New York and Cuban style salsa, and spices it up with modern arranging sensibility.
-Never danced salsa before? We have you covered! Antonio Diaz of Rumba Northwest will be offering a free salsa dance class with cover charge purchase.
This 10-piece band is comprised of latin rhythm section, trombones, flute and vocals. Influences influde Felix Chappotín, Miguelito Cuní, Celia Cruz, Eddie Palmieri, La Sonora Ponceña, Ray Barretto and Ruben Blades.
