During a year of positive changes and much growth, CCL is celebrating the many lives, not just circumstances, that have been changed since 1989. Acknowledging the myriad strong donors and partners that have ensured twenty-four years of transformation, the Gala also celebrates the lives that will be transformed as CCL brings financial services often reserved for the wealthy to households with limited income and those actively experiencing homelessness, thus empowering households to achieve housing and financial stability!

"There is much to celebrate at this year's Annual Gala: I work with many organizations across the northwest side of Chicago and Center for Changing Lives' leadership is among the strongest and smartest, its mission is among the most empowering, and the work is among the most impactful," states Christy Prahl, Logan Square resident and active member of the CCL Board of Directors.

Center for Changing Lives (CCL) is a little agency making a big impact. CCL provides the comprehensive, integrated services necessary for households to move beyond crisis to stability, from immediate considerations to future ones. CCL transforms lives and inspires neighbors to build a stable, supported and connected community by providing case management, income support, employment, housing and financial coaching to community members currently experiencing homelessness and those at risk of homelessness.

A TRACK RECORD OF SUCCESS: In late 2010, CCL applied for the federal "Social Innovation Fund" grant through Local Initiatives Support Corporation, a competitive process resulting in only 47 awards nationally.  CCL was one of only 10 initial awardees in the city of Chicago for its proven track record of successful financial stability work.  Based in outcomes, CCL was renewed for the grant again in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Between 2010 and 2012, 416 people received all CCL's integrated, coordinated financial services and 205 achieved an increase in net income, net worth or credit score (49%).

VENUE: The Institute of Puerto Rican Arts & Culture (IPRAC) is truly a place where preservation meets inspiration! IPRAC showcases the City's proud Puerto Rican community. Guests will experience a wealth of art exhibits and a spirit and culture unlike any other. IPRAC tells the story of the contributions of people from Puerto Rico in the making of this City and of this nation.
