Pegasus Theater Company presents Tapas 13th New Short Play Festival
Six dynamite plays. Six terrific actresses. Thats what the 13th annual Tapas New Short Play Festival is serving up this year at Guernevilles Masonic Lodge September 13 through 28.
What happens when Lady Macbeth decides to remove her "damned spot" permanently, or a dangerous executive order falls into the hands of a lowly White House Intern? Or two quarreling sisters find themselves out of gas in the middle of the Mojave Desert? Come to Tapas and see.
The plays include: "Grilled" by H. L. Grant, directed by Darlene Kersnar, "Solar Flares" by Stanley Rutherford, directed by Ed Brown "Heroes" by Susan Jackson, directed by Scott Kersnar "Lady M. Visits the Dermatologist" by Margy Kahn, directed by Lois Pearlman "Stuff" by Darlene Kersnar, directed by Lauri Lippin Executive Order by H. L. Grant, directed by Darlene Kersnar
From our beginning in 2006 we have featured plays by northern California playwrights exclusively because we want to showcase homegrown talent. And this year we have an all-female cast of wonderful local actresses.
Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings, Sept.13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday afternoons Sept. 15 and 22 at 5 p.m. All performances take place at the Mt. Jackson Masonic Lodge, 14040 Church St., Guerneville.
Admission is $15 for students and senior and $18 general. The first two Friday performances, Sept. 13 and 20, are pay-what-you-can.
Seats for the pay-what-you-can performances are available on a walk-in basis only and we are not taking reservations.
Directions to the Masonic Lodge are available on our website at pegasustheater.com.
