The Drowsy Chaperone

The Drowsy Chaperone, an award-winning musical comedy that opened on Broadway in 2006 and has audiences in stitches with its over-the-top characters, jazzy music and madcap antics. It's a over the top spoof on the old 1920s style song-and-dance musicals. As Man in Chair reminisces about some of his favorite shows, it comes to life in his living room, - a starlet bride, a groom, a tipsy chaperone, a rich producer, a Latin lover, gangsters and a complete cast of characters from 1928.

Northern Light Opera Company's 18th summer production comes with live orchestra, colorful sets and costumes and brings professional quality Music Theater to North Central Minnesota.

The Drowsy Chaperone may not be familiar to many of Northern Light Opera Company audiences, but with NLOC's history of sold-out productions, you can be assured that this will be a another great show.

On the day of a performance, Brown Paper Tickets will stop selling tickets; however, there still may be tickets available at Beagle and Wolf Books (218-237-2665) or at the NLOC Box Office, open at 6:00PM for shows that start at 7:30 and at 1:30 for 3:00 matinees.
