Ernie Sites: Singing the Stories of the West
Ernie Sites is an ambassador for the western cowboy and promotes this wonderful culture so inherent to our national heritage. Likely, you have seen the Hollywood version of the West but theres nothing like seeing and hearing, up close and personal. Ernie will be telling, singing and performing his life story.  He is the real deal!  Joining Ernie is cowboy poet, Mark Munzert, whos new album, Day Workin, is currently the #1 most played on the Western Poetry Charts.

Among Ernies many talents, he is a western performer, songwriter, cowboy poet, trick roper, bull rider, rodeo clown, bareback rider, team and a calf roper, yodeler, educator and author.  A native-born son of Idaho, Ernie splits his time between Idaho and our Hudson River Valley.

Performing with big names in Western music history, such as Gene Autry, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Patsy Montana, Riders in the Sky and Sons of the Pioneers he became well-recognized by the Western Music Association (WMA). This core of entertainers attracted him to a much larger audience as he pursued cowboy entertainment, singing and yodeling, along with performing rope tricks and sharing Cowboy history.
Working with children is what Ernie considers as one of his greatest accomplishments. "Native American Indians and Cowboys Too,"  is a theatrical program for children Ernie wrote and helped produce is a performance that ran for five years during the winter months in Queens College, New York, and entertained 2,000 children a day, five days a week. Along with his current program, "Singing the Stories of the West", he is an artist-in-residence, conducting creative writing classes that focus on rhyming poetry as well as free verse.
Ernie Sites isn't just from the West ~ he is the West; he is its authentic, native son. - Persimmon Hills Story
