Pegasus Theater Company presents Billy Nobody
Can Aurora, an audacious world-traveling bon vivant, save timid fear-driven Billy Nobody from himself? Or from his bullying landlord, or his overbearing ex-wife and her pandering attorney, or his cleaver-wielding piano teacher? And how did his piano go missing anyway? Subjective reality and self-centered fear are both the subject and substance of this opposites-attract absurdist romantic comedy. When eccentric and vivacious Aurora Borealis spots agoraphobic Billy in the Big Value checkout line crying like a baby, her first reaction -- thats a man I need to meet -- compels her to follow him home. She has no idea of the flashbacks and insights this insipid little man and his demanding self-absorbed acquaintances will elicit -- only to discover that she and he are two sides of the same coin.
The cast includes Hans Bruhner, Beth Henry, Damien Olsen, Lois Pearlman, John Rowan, Philip Tymon and Wanda Wiemar.
Friday and Saturday evening performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 4 p.m.
Tickets are $18 general admission and $15 for seniors and students; the Friday night performances on May 24 and May 31 are pay-what-you-can.
Seats for the pay-what-you-can performances are available on a walk-in basis only.
