Anne Rainwater, pianist
Pianist Anne Rainwater plays Ravels colorful Jeux d'Eau, Ligeti's Arc-en-Ciel (Rainbow), J.S. Bachs Partita No. 6 plus the three minute Anamorfosi (1980) by Sicilian composer Salvatore Sciarrino.
Oakland pianist Anne Rainwater holds a Bachelor of Music from the Oberlin Conservatory and a Master of Music in Contemporary Performance from the Manhattan School of Music. Anne has performed At Austrias Donau Festival and at Hamburgs Kampnagel, and at the Kennedy Center and Princeton University among other international and national venues. Recent local solo appearances include the Center for New Music, Berkeleys Maybeck Studio, and the Old First Series. Her recording of Bachs Goldberg Variations has just been released.
