Get Cozy w The PSO: MyPSO

The Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra (PSO) 2019 Get Cozy chamber music series concludes Sunday, April 28 at 4:00 pm with performances by the Musical Youth of the Portsmouth Symphony Orchestera (MyPSO).

The final Get Cozy program is a chance to discover what the talented youth of our area are accomplishing together and will feature works by Josef Suk, Johann Christian Bach, Zoltán Kodály and Anton Arensky.

The program includes five different chamber ensembles, including a wind quintet and a youth piano quintet with performers ages 7-10. Their final work will be Haydns Farewell Symphony for full chamber orchestra arranged for the instruments in the group and conducted by MyPSO youth conductor Jake Copp. As part of the MyPSO program aimed at introducing the finest in classical musical literature to our young performers, Copp has been studying conducting with the PSO Music Director John Page.

Audiences members should note the later start time. Get Cozy chamber concert tickets are $16 in advance or $20 at the door and can be purchased on The Dance Hall website, www.thedancehallkittery.org. Seating is limited and at-the-door tickets are not guaranteed to be available.
