Not-So-Silent Films presents SAFETY LAST & GIRL SHY

Join us for another amazing night of classic silent film with live, original accompanied music! We'll reprise the amazing SAFETY LAST, Harold Lloyd's most famous achievement, culminating in his hair-raising free-climb of a New York skyscraper! Voted as one of the best comedies of all time, it was inducted into the National Film registry in 1994.

GIRL SHY was Lloyd's second film ever, and the first he produced himself. It's a raucous comedy/love story/high-speed chase that of course features neck-breaking stunts, performed live by Lloyd himself!

Richard Dowling will accompany the film with a live original score on piano. As a guest of this year's Jazz & Classic Festival, RICHARD DOWLING appears regularly across the United States in solo recitals and concerts with orchestras. He has been acclaimed by audiences for his elegant and exciting style of playing which earns him frequent return engagements. An artist of rising international stature, Mr. Dowling has presented solo recitals in the Far East, Australia, Africa, and Europe, including six performance tours in France. In the United States he has received nationwide attention for recitals seen on the PBS television program Debut, and heard on the NPR radio program Performance Today.
