"The Music Man"
Facetime Theatre Summer Stage presents "The Music Man," the charming musical tale of the spellbinding Professor Harold Hill and his comical encounters with Marian the Librarian and the citizens of River City, Iowa.
In its second year of operation, Facetime summer stage is a day camp for students from 4th grade through college who devote three weeks to learning to act, sing, dance, build sets, work with props, make costumes, apply stage makeup and more. Co-directors Kate Nice and Jessica Potts, both experienced teachers, actors and directors, are assisted by college-age interns who are dedicated to arts education for youth in the Phoenixville/Collegeville area.
The college-age students also perform most of the principal roles in the culminating play. "The Music Man" features Liam Snead as Prof. Harold Hill, Jamie Dougherty as Marian (the Librarian) Paroo, Ryan Lantzy as Marcellus Washburn, Kelsey Hodgkiss as Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn, Brendan Farrell as Mayor Shinn, Michele Wisely as Mrs. Paroo, Owen Howson as Charlie Cowell, Andy Ball as Tommy Djilas, and Rachael Wisely as Zaneeta Shinn. The barbershop quartet features Connor Murtagh, Brad DeLeone, Mac Snead and Ryan Starczewski. The role of young Winthrop Paroo is shared by Carter Niness and Joshua Starczewski.
Come enjoy "The Music Man" on July 18 at 7 pm, July 19 at 7 pm, and July 20 at 1 pm and 7 pm in the Lenfest Theater, Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Center, Ursinus College, 601 East Main Street, Collegeville, PA 19426.
