Josephine the Volcano is Kat Bula, Jessica Lynne, and Olivia Brownlee:

--Kat Bula, a (cough) Seattle-based* multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter who has toured extensively with bands ranging from hardline traditional bluegrass to contemporary country to pirate-themed folk punk to indie rock.

*Bellingham still has my heart, guys; I might need it back at some point.

--Jessica Lynne, a Tacoma-based country singer who grew up in Denmark. In her solo career, she has played venues including the Gorge Amphitheater and the Triple Door, toured internationally, and is currently recording her second nationally-distributed Nashville album.

--Olivia Brownlee, now living in Spokane after stints in Boston and Los Angeles. She is a singer-songwriter with deep roots in early-20th century jazz and cowboy music, as well as a master's degree in theater for social change.
