Daymark in Tacoma

Ever wish you could find a pub with the best music session ever? No need to travel to Ireland or Scotland. We'll be bringing the pub to you. Music from 3:00-5:00 with a short intermission; optional potluck pre-show at 1:30. If you aren't planning on joining the potluck, please plan to arrive no later than 2:40 to get a seat and settled.

Daymark is an international trio performing traditional Irish music infused with infectious energy, raw power, and Northern swagger. Fusing the talents of Will Woodson (flute, uilleann pipes), Dan Foster (fiddle) and Eric McDonald (guitar, vocals) the group presents a classic blend of wind and string. Sharing a love for the music of generations past, in Daymarks sound one can hear the echoes of Irish-American dance halls from the 1920s and 30s, alongside the lonesome tones of Donegal country fiddlers and the rollicking smoky pubs of Northern Englands immigrant neighborhoods. Tickets: $20 per person, 100% goes to the performers.

Optional potluck: There'll be a potluck lunch before the show, if you care to join. I'll probably make either potato soup or shepherds pie. Bring whatever you like to eat/drink.

This will be a quiet, listening, acoustic show in a private residence in Tacoma. Ages "able to be quiet and sit still" and up. Stair navigation required for the front entryway and there is a large friendly dog, so fair warning to those with dog allergies. House concert in the Hilltop neighborhood (address given upon ticket purchase).
