Botanical Drink & Draw with Artist Jessica Dalrymple
Join us for a botanical cocktail or a glass of wine or beer, and learn a traditional botanical illustration technique that you can practice to create a contemporary botanical drawing. Artist Jessica Dalrymple will also discuss the native plant garden at the Old Stone House, and share a wide selection of seasonal plants and flowers from local green spaces and floral markets.
Materials provided but attendees are welcome to bring a personal sketchbook. All ages and skill levels are welcome.
This event is presented in conjunction with the closing event for "Processing," an exhibition currently on view featuring the work of the eight artists in the Gowanus Swim Society, including Jessica's work. More info at: http://theoldstonehouse.org/event/gowanus-swim-society/2019-01-04/
