The Semiahmoo Music Consortium Presents Soul Purpose at Club 240, Friday, February 8.
Soul Purpose serves up your favorite 60's & 70's soul, Motown and R&B tunes, with a sprinkle of today's hits, too.Soul Purpose is known for their exciting shows! They are a 9-piece party band that know how to satisfy a diverse audience and keep them on the dance floor all night long! Dr. Ronald Barr of BC Childrens Hospital has said that he could not have asked for a better display of musicianship, with all of the excitement and entertainment that a quality soul ensemble can provide. They are best known for their renditions of songs by Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Christina Aguilera, Adele, and Stevie Wonder. With two dynamic female lead vocalists, funky organ, awesome bass, rhythmic beats, searing guitar and blazing hot horn section, there is never a dull moment! In fact, half of the band sings, so if youre looking for variety, Soul Purpose definitely knows how to serve it up. You just cant help but feel good when they play.
