The Underground Series: Deliberate Kin
The Norton County Arts Council will be hosting a fundraising event for the local arts called The Underground Series. The second live show in the series features Deliberate Kin of Courtland, Kansas.
Alex and Amanda Jo come together as Deliberate Kin, family on purpose. Married in 2009, the couple has two young girls and helps run the family farm in Kansas. During the 2018 year they have grown their "kin" across the state of Kansas and Nebraska.
Alex & Amanda Jo have just released their first Deliberate Kin album, Things Happen. The couple weaves clever songwriting and smooth vocal intonation throughout their freshman album. Things Happen was produced by 9th Ward Pickin Parlor with additional instrumentation crafted by talented artists, Mike & Katie West Of Truckstop Honeymoon.
They will be playing live at the Historic Heaton Building in the lower level (basement) on March 2, 2019 with the show starting at 7pm.
Tickets are limited and are only available on a first come first serve basis.
**Attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite appetizer or dessert tray and contribute to the "locally-made/created" atmosphere of the evening.**
