Laurie Halse Anderson: SHOUT
Join us for a special evening with New York Times bestselling, award-winning author Laurie Halse Anderson, in celebrating the release of her new book, SHOUT. Anderson will be joined in conversation by a special guest, to be announced. This event is ticketed; please see below for important information about entry.

Laurie Halse Anderson is known for the unflinching way she writes about, and advocates for, survivors of sexual assault. In 1999, her groundbreaking, award-winning novel Speak opened the door for a national dialogue about rape culture and consent. Now, twenty years later, she reveals her personal history as a rape survivor in a searing poetic memoir, SHOUT.

In free verse, Anderson shares reflections, rants, and calls to action woven between deeply personal stories from her life that she has never written about before. Searing and soul-searching, devastating and triumphant, SHOUT is a denouncement of our society's failures and a love letter to all the people with the courage to say #MeToo and #TimesUp, whether aloud, online, or only in their own hearts.

Laurie will be in conversation with Madeline Miller, author of the New York Times bestseller Circe, which has won numerous awards and appeared on multiple best book of the year lists.
