Kathleen Keane at Givins Beverly Castle
A multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter and composer, Kathleen is one of the finest exponents of the Irish community in Chicago. She was a "child prodigy on the whistle" (Martin Hayes). Her virtuosic tin whistle playing earned her appearances in several hit movies, including "THE ROAD TO PERDITION" and "BACKDRAFT." She is also "one of the world's finest Celtic fiddlers" (Chicago Tribune), and is "a phenomenon with that instrument" (Rambles). Her whistle and fiddle skills were also featured on the "CINDERELLA MAN" (Russell Crowe) soundtrack. A consummate performer, she has graced stages around the world with TITANIC band and GAELIC STORM.
Givins Beverly Castle provides an exquisitely intimate South Side concert experience, with parking on-site.
On the top of a hill, on the far South Side sits an ancient castle. Understandably, because it is the citys only castle, it has long held a special place in the hearts and memories of those who have called the Beverly neighborhood home.
Tickets can be purchased at the door one hour prior to the performance.
