FREE SOLO: The IMAX 2D Experience
FILM PRESENTATION: FREE SOLO: IMAX 2D Experience will be presented in 2D on our 4K IMAX with Laser projection system featuring IMAX's next-generation, enhanced 12-channel system with 114 speakers capable of 52,000 watts of digital sound and a six-story-high screen offering a truly immersive experience. The crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX's customized theater geometry and powerful digital audio, create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.

SYNOPSIS: From award-winning documentary filmmaker E. Chai Vasarhelyi and world-renowned photographer and mountaineer Jimmy Chin, the directors of MERU, comes FREE SOLO, a stunning, intimate and unflinching portrait of free soloist climber Alex Honnold, as he prepares to achieve his lifelong dream: climbing the face of the worlds most famous rock ... the 3,200-foot El Capitan in Yosemite National Park without a rope. Celebrated as one of the greatest athletic feats of any kind, Honnolds climb set the ultimate standard: perfection or death. Succeeding in this challenge places his story in the annals of human achievement.
FREE SOLO is an edge-of-your seat thriller and an inspiring portrait of an athlete who challenges both his body and his beliefs on a quest to triumph over the impossible, revealing the personal toll of excellence. As the climber begins his training, the armor of invincibility hes built up over decades unexpectedly breaks apart when Honnold begins to fall in love, threatening his focus and giving way to injury and setbacks. Vasarhelyi and Chin succeed in beautifully capturing deeply human moments with Honnold as well as the death-defying climb with exquisite artistry and masterful, vertigo-inducing camerawork. TICKET LIMITS: The number of tickets you can purchase per price category is 12 maximum.
REFUND POLICY: All Sales Are Final. No refunds, no exchanges and no replacements for any reason including lost tickets, stolen tickets, illness, late arrival or seat location.
ONLINE TICKETS: Online ticket sales for each show end two hours before show time. After online tickets sales close, tickets may still available for sale at the box office or by phone at 954-713-0930.
TICKET DELIVERY: Will Call tickets are to be picked up by the purchaser at Box Office Will Call. Valid photo I.D. required.
SCAN TICKETS: All mobile and print-at-home tickets must be scanned by the usher at the Scan kiosk located in the IMAX lobby.
ADMISSION: General admission seating is provided on a first-come, first-seated basis. A valid ticket is required for admission. Sales receipts or confirmation letters will not be accepted.
HOLLYWOOD FILM TICKET PRICES: Adult/Senior $15; Child (Ages 2 - 12) $12. Matinee show tickets include Museum exhibits admission.
MILITARY PRICES: We offer military prices for active or retired military personnel. Maximum four tickets per I.D. Pease be prepared to show a valid Military I.D. upon request.
MEMBERS TICKETS: Member ticket prices are not offered online. Member tickets can always be purchased at the box office or by phone at 954-713-0930.
ADVANCE TICKETS RECOMMENDED: Please be advised that shows may sell out and admission cannot be guaranteed unless you purchase advance tickets.
ARRIVAL TIME: Doors open 20 minutes prior to show time. Priority access ticket holders should arrive 30 minutes prior to show time.
BACKPACKS AND LARGE BAGS: Backpacks, oversized handbags and large bags are not permitted in the IMAX theater. Management reserves the right to inspect all bags. We strongly recommend you leave your items in your car before you head to the theater.
FOOD AND BEVERAGES: Popcorn, snacks and beverages are available at the IMAX Concessions Stand. Outside food is not permitted in the IMAX Theater.
