Henna Art Workshops

Come for a fun class of learning how to make Henna Art.

Henna art can be created temporarily on your body and on permanent surfaces as well.

Spring Schedule: ( attend one or all three)

Intro to Henna: March 16 10:30-12:00
Come and learn the history of this ancient art form. We will be exploring Moroccan-style henna. In this class, you will mix your own paste to practice your henna art at home, roll cones, learn and practice basic shapes and motifs from which countless designs are built.

Intermediate Henna: Apr. 20 10:30-12:00
Moving on from piping simple lines and dots, we will be creating mandalas and incorporating florals to add texture and weight to your designs, as well as practicing traditional Indian henna. (Intro to henna encouraged but no experience necessary)

Advanced Henna: May 19 6:00 pm-8:00pm
We will be delving into the use of varying cone pressure to create dynamic lines, negative space patterns, create geometric patterns (hello math), and explore Arabian Gulf style henna. (Previous henna or cake decorating experience encouraged)

Supplies:
Please bring a spoon and a bowl to take home henna paste
