Program Description:
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, abbreviated as the 2018 tax reform, is the largest change to the tax code since the 1986 tax bill. Several key provisions benefit small and large architectural and engineering businesses. Of the sweeping changes made to the tax code, the R&D credit remains the largest tax savings tool at businesss disposal but here's how the law changes expanded the benefit.

Neil has been providing public accounting services to clients for over 16 years and is a Principal in the Firm. Mr. Beeman focuses on business consulting, tax incentives calculation, tax planning, tax preparation for corporations, partnerships, individuals, trusts, and estates. Mr. Beeman deals directly with business owners, advising on options available that can assist with cash flow, tax compliance, retirement options, college planning, real estate and tax consultation. Mr. Beeman specializes in small to mid-size business and meets with them throughout the year with a goal of being a proactive business advocate who actively brings ideas for tax reduction to his clients.

Michelle R. Generaux, Esq., Murtaugh Treglia Stern & Deily LLP
Michelle focuses her practice on the representation of privately held businesses, with an emphasis on architectural and engineering firms. She also focuses her practices in the area of estate planning, most often coordinating the business goals and the estate planning needs of her business clients. She has extensive experience in entity selection and formation, contract drafting and negotiation, ownership transitions and mergers and acquisitions, as well as in litigating various business claims and disputes. She also practices in the areas of probate and trust administration.

Education: Michelle received her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame (BA, 1993) and law degree from William Mitchell College of Law (JD, 1996, Cum Laude). She began her law career in Minnesota (1996), and has been practicing law in California since 2001.
