Golden Girls Bingo Presented by the Russian River Sisters
The Russian River Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are proud to present a night of fun, fundraising and frivolity as only the Sisters know how This is not like any other Bingo game you've ever played. Picture your Grandmother's church hall bingo crossed with the Rocky Horror Picture Show, and the Sisters in their best drag-nun attire.
You will be participating with all your fellow players to raise money for Russian River Senior Center.
The Russian River Senior Center recently completed a HUGE
new remodel of our commercial kitchen. The kitchen is beautiful and serves the needs of feeding seniors at our congregate meals with delicious fresh food. Our numbers of seniors dining went from around 5/day to 25/day. The meals are a low-cost donation of only $4, with no one turned away for lack of funds. For some seniors, these meals are the only ones they get that day. Many of our seniors are homeless and getting a hot meal from a smiling young person is very meaningful. We are also using the kitchen as an intergenerational program. This summer, youth were trained in culinary skills, interacting with seniors, serving, hosting and community gardening. We currently have youth in the program and would like to extend it to many more. The youth get paid (from a grant through Sonoma County) while being in the program because we have found that many youth on the river need to help their families with rent, food, etc. This program is helping youth get real, transferable skills in a safe environment where they learn from and with seniors. The seniors love having the young energy around and feel a sense of purpose knowing that they are helping our younger generation. The youth come from the lower Russian River area, are 16-24 years of age. Criteria for enrollment in the program: youth are/were in foster care, low income, youth with disabilities, pregnant or parenting, dropouts, etc. The youth will also cook some meals for the winter shelter that WCCS runs. The youth, once they
graduate, have skills necessary to not only find a job, but find a job on the River where most of our open positions are in the food business.
Come to Bingo dressed in a costume related to our theme and participate in the costume contest for fabulous prizes.
Every Bingo will feature a menu of tasty dinner and dessert items, such as: Pizza, Nachos, Chips, Cake, Brownies, and a wide selection of soda and bottled water. The BINGO KITCHEN opens at 5:30pm, and closes during the 5th game.
Please take note:
Players must be 18 years of age or older. No exceptions.
No alcohol is allowed in line or in the Bingo Hall. No exceptions.
If you violate either of these rules, you will be asked to leave and not issued a refund.
Online tickets are $20, and are good for: Entry for one person, and two bingo card packs. (Each card pack includes one card for each of the six games.)
Extra bingo cards ($5 per pack) will be available for purchase at the door.
Pre-sold ticket holders will be admitted starting at 5:30pm, and must arrive no later than 6:30pm.
ALL TICKET HOLDERS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN TICKET, EACH TICKET HAS A UNIQUE TICKET NUBER AND IS GOOD FOR ONE ADMISSION ONLY. DUPLICATE TICKET NUMBERS WILL NOT BE HONORED. IF YOU PURCHASE A VIP GROUP OF TICKETS, YOU MUST PRINT ALL 10 TICKETS AND DISTRIBUTE THEM TO YOUR GROUP MEMBERS. THOSE WITHOUT A TICKET WILL HAVE TO WAIT IN LINE AND PURCHASE A TICKET SHOULD ONE BE AVAILABLE.
After 6:30pm, advanced purchase ticket holders will continue to be admitted preferentially as long as there is room in the Hall. However, unclaimed seats may be re-sold to people in the regular waiting line.
Failure to arrive on time does not qualify you for a refund.
Entry is on a first come, first seated basis. There are no reserving or saving of seats allowed.
Refunds for advanced purchase tickets are available within 12 hours of the initial purchase time/date and on a case-by-case basis only after that time. The RR Sisters cannot issue refunds, you must contact Brown Paper Tickets directly to discuss refunds.
Online Ticket Sales will automatically be cut off at 9:30am the day of Bingo OR when they sell out (which they often do!) After that time, you will be required to purchase tickets at the door, starting at 6pm. The line to purchase tickets at the door forms early in the afternoon.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, at the sole discretion of the members of the Russian River Sisters, Inc. By attending this event, you give consent for any video and audio recording that may take place.
