Shibari for Sex

Learn to Tie Your Partner for Hot Sexual Play

This workshop is not about fancy ties--this workshop is about using Japanese rope bondage to restrain your partner for consensual, hot, sex--in all its forms.

In this three-hour class, we'll explore safe, sexy, and effective ways to restrain folx of all genders, shapes, and sizes. We'll also learn basic knots and ties needed to make your rope look and feel sexy on your partner, and of course, examine safety, anatomy, and consent issues as well.

There is no prerequisite for this course, and it is definitely appropriate for all genders, sexual orientations, and body types!

Equipment & Dress: please wear what makes you feel comfortable. No full nudity, please; please wear something that covers the genitals.

Yoga Mat

(3-4) 8 meter or 30 ropes, 5-6mm in diameter. Hemp or Jute is recommended. Its also helpful to have some shorter lengths of rope in your kit. Short on rope? Well have a bit extra on hand to loan out to students.

To ensure personal attention to each participant, class size will be limited to 10 duos. Due to the small class size, early registration is highly recommended.

No late entry will be allowed due to the intimate nature of this workshop. Doors will be locked at 10 minutes after the start time.

About the Instructor: Jonathan (Seattle Shibari) is a Seattle-based rope artist who ties for photoshoots, co-creates concept art, and teaches Japanese-style rope bondage. He works to spread appreciation for this beautiful art in the Pacific Northwest via his website SeattleShibari.com, and travels yearly to Japan to train with his teachers. Jonathan has taught numerous sold-out workshops, and teaches and performs internationally.
