Pop up Random Acts 14.5

A spot opened up at The Actors Studio of Newburyport and what better, agile, and awesome community theater event to jump in but Random Acts! We are calling it Random Acts 14.5 falling between our 14th (last winter), and our 15th production (coming in 2019). Random Acts is a play in a day spun together by the Great and Mysterious Randomizer, otherwise known as Hailey Klein. Heres how it works: Writers names go in a hat. Playwright pairs are selected at random. They spend Friday night writing a new play. Saturday morning directors names are put in the hat. Directors are assigned to the plays by a random draw. Finally actors names are placed in the randomizer and they are assigned to each play by random pick. Then the teams go to work rehearsing and preparing for the production at 8:00 PM that night.

No time for doubt, no time for resistance its a dash to the finish line and everyone wins - the playwrights, directors, actors, and most importantly, the audience. The energy generated by the Random Acts process is over the top and everyone feels it.
