Amahl and the Night Visitors - JOPLIN, MO
Heartland Opera Theatre presents the perfect Christmas gift for the entire family!
When three mysterious kings visit the humble home of a young boy and his mother, the magic of the season unfolds through lyrical music and moving story-telling. Since its premier production on television in 1951, Amahl has become a true Christmas classic and one of the most popular American operas. You wont want to miss this performance sung in English and staged in the elegant sanctuaries of three area churches.
Each performance will be followed by a free reception at the church, where patrons will have an opportunity to meet the performers and directors.
