JOHN LLOYD YOUNG PUTTING IT TOGETHER 3
John Lloyd Young, who originated the role of Frankie Valli in Broadway's Jersey Boys, as well as star as Valli in Clint Eastwood's movie adaptation of the legendary hit musical. Young returns to Sterling's Upstairs at The Federal with a new edition of "Putting it Together".  In his signature passionate and thrilling style, the celebrated  singer/actor interprets the spine-tingling, soul-bearing showstoppers that shape his aspirations. With Tommy Faragher and the Tommy Faraher Quartet, Mr. Young will sing from several mediums of music.. be it self-written, a work in progress, a staple in his repertoire, or the Broadway stage.

Lloyd's achievements for creating "Frankie Valli" in Broadway's Tony Award winning Best Musical and international hit, JERSEY BOYS, garnered unprecedented accolades from New York and national media, including one of the most exciting New York Times reviews ever written for an actor making a Broadway debut.

Not only did Mr. Young win the Lead Actor Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Theatre World Awards, but he became the only American actor in history to win all four leading actor awards for a Broadway debut.  Mr. Young sings lead vocals on the Platinum, Grammy Award-winning JERSEY BOYS Original Cast Album.  Young's other honors for JERSEY BOYS include a caricature at the world-famous Sardi's Restaurant, being named Person of the Week by ABC World News Tonight, and being chosen for prestigious "Best of" lists by Entertainment Weekly, Reader's Digest and The New York Times.

In 2013, he was appointed by Barack Obama to the President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities.  He was sworn in at the Supreme Court of the United States by Justice Elena Kagan. Young returned to JERSEY BOYS on Broadway for several months in 2012 and 2013, and in early 2014 he made his West End debut in London opening JERSEY BOYS at the historic Piccadilly Theatre.   Young re-created his award-winning Broadway turn onscreen for director Clint Eastwood in Warner Bros.' film adaptation of JERSEY BOYS which opened nationwide June 20, 2014.

A resident of Los Angeles, Young played to sold-out crowds of 17,000-plus as "Marius" in LES MISERABLES at the Hollywood Bowl.  He was also the first-ever guest star invited to appear on Fox-TV's Emmy Award winning hit, GLEE.  In 2016 he returned to the theatre stage in For the Record : Scorsese American Crime Requiem at the Wallis Annenberg Theatre for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills.  Having appeared in concert at the Terrace Theatre within the John F. Kennedy Center for The Performing Arts in Washington, DC;  New York's 54 Below, and multiple times at the Café Carlyle there, The New York Times wrote Young has a  disciplined one-in-a-million high tenor shading into falsetto that he can direct through the stratosphere."

Following numerous 2017 /2018 performances across the country, including starring in the classic Tennessee William play The Glass Menagerie at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival in Montgomery, Mr. Young returns to Sterling's Upstairs at The Federal for his 34th headlining concert.
