Vocal Showcase: Katy Bourne, Jacqueline Tabor & Joanne Klein / Seattle Women in Jazz Festival
This special three-part concert is being presented as part of the Seattle Women in Jazz Festival. *Doors open at 4:30 pm.
Featured Performers:
Katy Bourne is a fun loving, hard-swingin' Seattle jazz vocalist, who believes that jazz is a grand adventure. She approaches the music with strong rhythmic sensibility, an infectious sense of humor and straight-on honesty. Her performances encompass all ends of the spectrum; be it a go-for-broke romp through a swing tune, a sizzling Bossa Nova or a sweet & simple ballad, she engages her audiences and tells the story each and every time.
Jacqueline Tabor is an award winning vocalist who lives and performs in the Pacific Northwest. This sultry alto has a voice that contains style, passion
and sophistication. Expressive in her approach to a Jazz standard, she creates a memorable moment and lures you in wanting more. She was recognized with the Seattle Kobe Jazz Queen award, performing in Kobe, Japan & was recognized as NW Vocalist of the Year from Earshot Jazz.
Joanne Klein is an accomplished professional actor, singer and performer. She has performed throughout the USA, Costa Rica, Canada and the streets of Paris. She is also a teacher of the performing arts with artist-in-residences through the Seattle Repertory Theatre, and Intiman Theatre, a teacher for Cornish College of the Arts, Seattle Talent Academy, The Coyote Project, and The Urban League.
