City Hall Implosion Event
The end is coming! As we make way for the new baseball stadium, the meticulously planned and carefully choreographed implosion that will bring City Hall crashing down in a heap of concrete, steel and glass in a matter of seconds will rattle windows and shake the ground at 9AM on April 14th, 2013.
Well, the end is coming for Polio, too! Polio has declined rapidly since 1985, but the fight isn't over. While polio is a crippling and potentially fatal infectious disease, for as little as sixty cents, a child can be vaccinated for life. If we don't finish the fight right now, more than 10 million children under the age of five could be paralyzed in the next 40 years. Rotary International raises funds to make sure every child receives access to the polio vaccine. See the impact your contribution can make. Please join the Rotary Club of East El Paso in Funding the Fight!
For a tax deductible, charitable contribution of only $40, which includes breakfast on Sunday April 14th, 2013 you can witness history! Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. Not only will you be able to experience and photograph the implosion of City Hall, but you will be part of Rotary's efforts to eradicate a horrible disease! We hope to see you there! The Gardner Hotel 311 East Franklin St. Breakfast is available from 8AM to Noon! RSVP today to eastelpasorotary@yahoo.com to ensure your seating!
