Mud Chekhov

Mississippi Mud presents two scene nights featuring the works of Anton Chekhov.

Running time 2 and a half hours with an intermission and chat, plus good company.

Both nights @8:30-11pm @"Tom's" space, The Alexander Technique Center for Performance and Development, @330 West 38th Street, Suite 805, 8th Floor, between 8th and 9th Avenues. Buzz the buzzer in to a private night of Chekhov!

A line of scenes from The SeaGull and other of Chekhov's plays and works explored workshop style. Actor explored work and with Austin Pendleton talking about Chekhov and acting in some scenes Jackie Gleason style (meaning jumping in for the first time with the actors)! Alessandro Magania from The Wooster Group's HAMLET also joins us for a scene with Jen.

Free and open to Mud fans. Wine, cheese, fruit will be served both nights as well.

Limited seating: chairs and mats. To reserve please go to Brown Paper Tickets. Reservations recommended. Otherwise chance showing up on a first come first serve basis, and we will do our best to safely accommodate you after all reservations are seated. When you arrive let us know if you are willing to sit on a mat. Intimate space. Book your ticket!

Program A features scenes from The SeaGull, The Cherry Orchard, and the Three Sisters.
Program B features more scenes from The SeaGull, The Proposal, Three Sisters, Ivanov, and Uncle Vanya.
Plus one night the surprise of letters read between Anton Chekhov and his wife Olga Knipper the actress.

That's 21 total artists! Free! Chekhov! Come. The work is early work on The SeaGull which Mud is beginning working on in lab to develop further, plus other work all for the joy of acting and Chekhov and a chance for Mud and guest artists to play.

The Chekhov scene nights are a presentation of Mississippi Mud Productions' educational wing.
