The Evolution of Modern Completion Strategies and Subsequent Impact on Horizontal Well Productivity in the Midland Basin

Abstract:
Similar to other operators in the Permian Basin, Endeavor Energy Resources is continuously developing optimal completion strategies for its Midland Basin core acreage. Since shifting its focus to become a competitive horizontal producer in the Basin, completion strategies rapidly evolved as well. The presentation will demonstrate results in the Northern and Southern Midland Basin Wolfcamp and Lower Spraberry formations indicating the dramatic improvement in well productivity over the past two years from various tighter stage spacing, cluster spacing, and clusters per stage tests and the types of studies conducted.

Bio:
Ms. Yogashri Pradhan is a reservoir engineer for Endeavor Energy Resources, where she is involved with field development planning for unconventionals in the Midland Basin. She has also worked as a senior production engineer for Texas Oil and Gas Institute and Devon Energy, overseeing various production optimization studies and field operations in the Permian Basin. Ms. Pradhan is an active SPE member at the local and international levels through technical conference committees, study groups, and community service initiatives. In 2018, she received the Houston Engineers Week Young Engineer of the Year representing SPE Gulf Coast Section. She is also a recipient of the Young Member Outstanding Service Award from SPE International this year. Ms. Pradhan holds a bachelors degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and is pursuing her masters degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University. She is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas.
