Platinum Plush Entertainment and Respect Royalty Entertainment present an album release and birthday bash for local Hip Hop Artist Lavell Cotton AKA "Money Making Prince". This event will also feature guest performances by other local artist.
He came from the bottom, confined in a institution for 20 years, he worked to sharpen his mental tools, and molded himself into the masterpiece he is today. Money Making Prince is a hip hop artist from Seattle, Washington that has persevered through the storm of prison life, to offer enlightening stories through music and lyrical content. He has now embarked on a journey to leave his footprints in the concrete and his mark on the music industry.
Money Making Prince started writing music and expressive words while incarcerated, to help him cope with his situation. It wasn't long before he realized that the pictures he painted through his craft, helped him gain respect on the prison yard. This enabled him to build the self confidence he needed, to get through the hardships of prison life.
Music became his refuge, imagination his shield, determination his peace, and his mind the daily grind. One of his hit songs is "Once upon a time", a Seattle intercity anthem that paints a picture so clear that you can't help but to vibe to it. Another hit, is a romantic ballad called "Rosè Rendezvous". This song is a conversation a man is having with a woman who has been struggling with past relationships. This epic serenade is guaranteed to touch the hearts of women, who can relate to the issues highlighted in this song.
Money Making Prince's most anticipated album, "The Lavell Cotton Story", due to release this fall Of 2018, includes his first hit single "Choosy Lover". This is a catchy and hard hitting with a bass beat that will prompt you to sing along, as you feel the spirit behind the lyrics.
