Credo Studio is pleased to host internationally recognized poet, author and musician Gloria Velásquez for an inspiring presentation of her work and art.
Gloria L. Velásquez is an internationally acclaimed author who holds a Ph. D. from Stanford University in Latin American and Chicano Literature. Velásquezs poetry and fiction have appeared in journals and anthologies throughout the U.S. and Europe. Venturing into the music world, Velásquez released her Superwoman Chicana CD, which features poetry and music and a bilingual childrens CD, The Double Bubbleheads.
Veláquez has received many honors for her writings and achievements including numerous literary biographies. She is the first Chicana to be inducted into the University of Northern Colorados Hall of Fame. In addition, Standford University has honored Velásquezs literary production with The Gloria Velásquez Papers, archiving her life as a writer and humanitarian. www.gloriavelasquez.com
