The Mission: A Celebration Of The Music of George Harrison

On August 1st, 1971, George Harrison honored his friend Ravi Shankar's request by putting together what would later become an historical event. The Concert for Bangladesh changed both the music and fundraising worlds forever by aiding the people of Bangladesh during a time of turmoil. 47 years later, the concert that helped lives is now a tool to continue the work George started under new circumstances.

The Mission is a team of individuals who are putting on a one- night-only concert in celebration of the Concert For Bangladesh, as a fundraiser for a ministry known as Resting Place. This Christian-oriented, non-sectarian ministry will be transitioning from their current building to a much larger facility. The concert itself will feature a 20 piece ensemble of some of the most talented musicians from the North Jersey area, as well as a great opening band who will be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets will be sold through BrownPaperTickets.com. PRICES WILL GO UP BY SEPTEMBER 29ST. Fundraisers will be seated in the first few rows, (but will still need to purchase tickets in advance). Parking is limited, but there are public parking lots a short walk from the church.. The goal of the event is to raise enough to that will be donated to Resting Place's GoFundMe page.
