The Semiahmoo Music Consortium Presents the Return of The Retrogrades to Club 240, Friday, September 21.
Formed in 2015, the Retrogrades have recently begun bringing their love of high-energy Rock n Rock to venues south of the Fraser. The Retrogrades play danceable hits from across the years, including Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Lenny Kravitz, Queen, Duran Duran, The Doors, as well as recent hits from performers like Weeknd & Pharrell.
The Retrogrades came together when 3 work colleagues realized all they shared a love of live music. Ted Johnson (vocals, guitar), Brad Bauman (lead guitar) and Neil Stephenson (drums) work together in leadership roles with the Delta School District. After a year of jamming for fun and a few school district events, discussions about expanding the project began. The search for a bass player lead them to Stephan Major, a local Ocean Park contractor.
Recently the Retrogrades have begun playing shows locally around White Rock and Ladner, including a recent and memorable opportunity to be the opening act for Jim Byrnes. Shows so far have been packed out and full of energy. Come ready to dance!
