In this 2-hour live in-person seminar, you will learn how to apply two new generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) standards: FASB ASU 2014-09, Revenue from Contracts with Customers (Topic 606) and FASB ASU 2018-08, Clarifying the Scope and the Accounting Guidance for Contributions Received and Contributions Made. You will learn the differences between contribution vs exchange transaction, conditional vs unconditional, promise or intentions, and agent or intermediary. Because these are new changes to GAAP, it may significantly change how you word future contracts and record grants and other revenue.
