Live recording of a unique event that is half art show, half experimental jazz concert, both created by Monica. The Monica Shriver Jazz Project will perform original compositions by Monica Shriver and Stan Smith, including some adventurous exploring of the relationship and connection between improvisation and abstract art. Following in the footsteps of great jazz improvisors such as Ornette Coleman, Charlie Haden, Charles Mingus, John Coltrane, and Miles Daviss 2nd Quintet, the Monica Shriver Jazz Project will incorporate all styles of jazz including blues, dixieland, swing, free, modern, latin, funk and hip hop.

The Monica Shriver Jazz Project features Monica Shriver-woodwinds and abstract artwork, Ben Hedquist-bass, Erik Teichmann-drums and special guest, Stan Smith - guitar.
