Charlie Kirchen Quartet
On August 15 at 8pm, ALL presents The Charlie Kirchen Quartet. The quartet represents the latest project from Chicago-based composer/improvisor/bassist/theorist, Charlie Kirchen. Drawing on a sensibility informed by jazz, certain strains of 20th century classical music, and various folk traditions, Kirchen's music is focused on finding a balance between a visceral free-improvised expression and logically rigorous melodic, harmonic, and formal frameworks. Online sales end 1 hour before the show. Doors open at 7:30.
