Long Island Roller Rebels Boot Camp
Join us on Saturday, July 21st to brush up on your skating and derby skills! Never skated before? No problem - learn how to roller skate with a real roller derby team!
Check-in and paperwork submission: 8:30 am
Boot Camp: 9-11 am
Full gear will be required to skate: quad skates (no roller blades), knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, mouth guard, and a helmet. If you need to borrow anything, please email us at Recruitment@longislandrollerrebels.com and we will see if one of our skaters can loan you some of their gear for this event only.
Your boot camp admission price includes a ticket to our open scrimmage following boot camp, from 11 am to 1pm. If you'd like to see how roller derby is played, please feel free to stay and watch! Please bring your own chair to sit rink-side.
Our boot camp will help you prepare for our league tryouts the following Saturday, July 28th, if you're interested in playing roller derby! Registration for tryouts can be found here: https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3508903
Must be 18 or older.
