Six veteran songwriters and performers, all RISA members, gather together for a glorious evening of topflight original music at the region's most exciting new intimate concert venue. Hosted by Jan Luby.

JAN LUBY is known for her engaging, often riveting stage presence as well as her voice full of passion, range and power. Her songs are evocative, lyrical and infectious personal stories. Her approach to songwriting ranges from socially relevant to irreverent, heartbreaking to humorous. As a solo performer, Jan is equally at home on a festival stage in front of thousands as she is in more intimate settings. She has played coffeehouses, clubs, festivals and street corners from Sweden to Greece and from New York to the Pacific Northwest. Jan has shared the stage with many noteworthy performers, including Louden Wainwright III, Cheryl Wheeler, Bob Franke, Townes Van Zandt, Garnet Rogers, Ani DiFranco & Dar Williams. Locally, Jan has performed at venues like the Stone Soup Coffeehouse, The Newport Sunset Music Series, the South Shore Folk Music Club, and The Vanilla Bean. Her CD "Nobody's Girl" was released in October 2011. Jan is an active member of the Rhode Island Songwriters Association and will host this evening's RISA Songwriters in the Round show at Sandywoods.

TRACIE POTOCHNIK, a native of Pittsburgh, now makes her home in Providence, RI. Formerly part of the trio Ten Years Too Late, she is known for blending simple arrangements with sophisticated lyrical storytelling. Tracie brings three chords, the truth, and occasionally a mandolin to her shows. She once killed a man in Reno, but not just to watch him die. The bastard had it coming. Tracie's childhood was just like Dolly Parton's, but with more indoor plumbing and ten fewer siblings.

PAUL PASCH is a true songsmith, crafting songs through which flow the thread of common human experiences that evoke feelings of joy, laughter and sometimes tears. Paul began his folk music career in the smoke-filled coffeehouses of the early 70's in and around Providence, RI. In those first years, Paul wrote a few of the songs he performed, but the majority of his set list included music from great songwriters like John Prine, Leonard Cohen, Mississippi John Hurt and Guy Clark. Paul's songwriting style was influenced by each of these songwriters, and soon Paul developed his own unique storytelling songwriting style.Through the years Paul has performed at a variety of venues, including house concerts, coffeehouses, and even in some establishments of questionable repute. These days Paul's performances include a mixture of his own critically acclaimed songs rounded out with some of his old favorites. In concert, the songs and the stories within them are carried along by vocal melodies and solid, yet understated, acoustic guitar support. Paul has released two stellar albums, Tornado Sky and High Heel Blues, both of which are available on CD or as downloads on CD Baby.

JANE FALLON was raised in rural California and Oregon in a large musical family. She began writing and performing at an early age and followed that up with 13 years of classical voice training and performance in a cappella groups. Her formal training, combined with a degree in literature, led to the inevitable  a lifetime love affair with songwriting. Jane has written several hundred songs and is the recipient of numerous songwriting awards. She performs regularly throughout the New England area and has appeared at the Boston Folk Festival. Her songs have been heard on over 100 radio stations in the US and abroad, including NPR, The Midnight Special, and WUMB Boston. "Jane Fallon has the voice of angel. I can guarantee that if you walked by a club or coffeehouse where Jane was singing, you would be compelled to walk in and listen. Her gift is that powerful. Mesmerizing, methodical and musical." (Metronome Magazine)

JOHNNY BOTELHO was born and raised in Fall River. He has played at coffeehouses, pubs, and folk music venues throughout New England, including the Narrows Center for the Arts. He writes beautiful songs about his close ties to family, friends, and the area that he calls home. His first CD, "I'm Home," was released in 2004 and is dedicated to his beloved parents and his late brother, James.

LOUIS LEEMAN, an active member of the New England music scene for three decades, is a singer, guitarist, and songwriter who resides in Swansea, MA. During this time, Louis has had the opportunity to play with many talented musicians in a variety of musical settings and styles. As an opening act for Tom Rush, Leon Russell, Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett of Little Feat, Savoy Brown, Darrel Scott, Chip Taylor and Carrie Rodriquez, Louis has had the opportunity to play to audiences expecting the best. With roots in rock, folk, blues and country, Louis has been influenced by all types of music. As Louis says, "I listen to all kinds of music and it filters through my personality and slightly warped perspective. I play my own songs and songs by artists whose work I admire. I try to sound like me."
