Adapted by Justin Gray, Michael Pantone, Angela Polite, and Leore Riven
Directed by Chelsea Hedderig
Griffin and Sarah were childhood friends and are now in Middle School, but recently have drifted apart. Sarah has a reputation of being a goody two shoes, who gets straight As and is the official (and only) School News Reporter. Griffin, on the other hand, is edgier, more popular, and constantly gets detention for her misconduct. Realizing that detention hasnt changed Griffins attitude, Principal Wilson assigns Griffin to help Sarah with the School News. Determined to get a lot of readers and likes on the School News Instagram account, Griffin comes up with a sneaky plan and the two girls start posting fake news. While Griffin sneaks around and starts stealing other peoples belongings, the girls post on Instagram about a thief thats been going around and terrorizing the school. When their scheme gets somebody else in trouble, Griffin and Sarah learn the importance of telling the truth and how their actions can severely affect other people.
