Like a collection of hit R&B singles, The Rance Allen Groups music is easy and fun to listen to. While they are one of few groups that can master any genre of gospel music, its the contemporary, soulful gospel R&B (thats rhythm & bible) that they are best known for with state-of-the-art sound and modern instrumentation that they began in the early 1970s and touted as being ahead of its timebut is heard throughout the music of today. It gives mature audiences what they've been looking for--music reminiscent of the best of the glory days of Stax, Motown and Philadelphia-International. New audiences and young people have found them, too. They like the group and what they do because they're turned onto their classic sound that never lets you down, and get turned on to the Lord.
Bishop Rance Allen was ordained an Elder in the COGIC in 1978 and since 1985 has served as Senior Pastor of New Bethel COGIC, a thriving ministry in Toledo, Ohio. He was elevated to Jurisdictional Prelate of COGICs Michigan Northwest Harvest Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction in Detroit, MI in 2011. He is also an international Evangelist and has appeared in several stage and on-screen gospel musicals. Oldest brother Thomas Allen is retired from the State of Michigan Department of Transportation and Steve Allen, who is also an Elder and works along with Bishop Allen in his ministry, is licensed in Physical Medicine. All three now reside in Toledo, Ohio.
The concert also features Bronsen Landrum, and Pastor Anthony Robinson, Sr., known as Pastor Rob.
Bronsen Landrums goal is to reach all people, with his Bible filled lyrics. This Cleveland, OH native was saved at an early age and was introduced to music by his familys quartet group, The Mack Singers. He quickly learned the drums then set his sights on music production, song writing and piano. Bronsen can lead praise and worship, he can sing hymns of the faith but he still has the edge to convey the Gospel message at an open mic. All of his skills, experiences and influences form a style that is his very own. This artist knows no limits and plans on being all things, to all people, to win some (1 Cor 9:22). Bronsen Landrum plans to keep creating, recording and hopes to tour churches and other venues to get his God-given good news to all that will listen.
Pastor Rob's first gospel album release was TIME in 2013, followed by a Christmas single titled Luv Bellz and Testify. Pastor Rob is currently a Pastor at Shiloh Baptist Church in Massillon, Ohio, where he is entering his thirteenth year as Senior Pastor. A songwriter and singer with compassion to bring ministry to another level through his songs, makes his stage presence with his group SBC one of the finest up and upcoming groups in Northeast Ohio.
